The Best Way to Spend any Spare Cash!
17/06/2009 @ 9:21 amFearne backs a number of different charities so we asked her to give us an insight into each one that she supports:
World Vision
I have sponsored a child through their sponsorship programme for nearly ten years. I love the interaction and updates I have with the kids in Africa. I also visited India a couple of years ago for a street children project we were working on together - I met some incredible people and it has driven me to do more and more with World Vision. Go check out their website to see how you can get involved !

Postpals
I’m a patron of this charity run by a wonderful girl called Vikki. I met Vikki a few years ago at a National Lottery awards ceremony. I found her to be one of the most driven and courageous people I have ever met. Suffering from ME herself she has set up this incredible charity for ill kids. You can see the gallery of kids on the site and write them a card, email or even send a gift. It really does put a smile on a kid’s face! So please check out the site!!
Comic Relief
I have been involved with Comic Relief for the past 6 years. I have visited Africa a few times now and have always been saddened yet full of hope every time I go I have met some extremely strong, beautiful people out there and seen how they deal with the most unthinkable of situations. I have also really seen how the money Comic Relief raises helps so many people in so many ways! It’s great to go back year after year and see peoples’ lives changing for the better. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro was the best thing I have ever done and being part of such a massive fund raiser really got us to the top and knowing the nation was behind us and supporting us along the way was a very special feeling! I hope to work with Comic Relief for many years to come!

Sport Relief
Sport Relief takes place in Spring every year and this year Fearne is taking part in an incredible challenge to ride from John O’Groats to Lands End as part of a team of 7. The money you raise for Sport Relief is spent by Comic Relief to help people living unimaginably tough lives, both here in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries
