Fearne brings us the latest from the iTunes Festival

I seem to have officially swapped my cosy cottage for the Roundhouse! I have seen more of that spherical rock den than my own bed recently! NOT that I’m complaining! The month of July has so far officially rocked!

I love nothing more than a good dance! I don’t hold back and usually end up spraining or pulling something! Yet taking it to the next level is Ed Macfarlane from Friendly Fires!! He is surely the love child of Darcy Bussell and Mick Jagger! The little disco monkey swirled, jerked and hopped around that stage for one of the most electrifying gigs! Paris live was magical and atmospherically accompanied by shooting star lights all over the Roundhouse roof! An electric-shock disco on stage!
This week began with Bloc Party who caused the most chaos before a gig so far! Lines and lines of people hung around the Roundhouse’s waist line, waiting anxiously to see the power of the Bloc!! It was rammed, so I squeezed at the back of the crowd on the balcony and watched the giant swarm of die hard fans go mental below! You just know that Kele feels and believes every word of what he’s singing and that makes for the most intimate and intense shows!

Last night…ONE WORD…OASIS! The Enemy supported the band and filled the earlier slot with sweat, passion and generally ‘had it large!’ ! For small fellas they make some serious noise and demand it back! After a quick G’n'T and a wee, it was O time! I had interviewed Noel earlier in the day and he was on great form! As funny as ever and open about not being his brother’s biggest fan! The interview will be on ITV2 on Fri 31st July!

They opened with Rock n Roll Star and just spat out those hits one after another! Liam swaggered off whenever Noel hit us with his beautiful more laid back tones and then swaggered back on for his turn to stare out the audience until they could scream no more! He even ordered a pizza (using the international sign language for ‘PHONE.4.A.PIZZAA!’) whilst Noel sang on!

As usual a ballsy, massive performance with all the attitude you would expect and want!
Today is a day of reflection and co-operation! I’m off to see the mighty Kasabian tonight who are in my top 3 live bands to see! AHHH! I’M ON FIRRREEEEE!
If I’m able to type tomorrow there will be more back stage Roundhouse gossip to come!
ROCK ON!

Listened to Oasis live last night on the radio - sounded awesome! Just gutted I can’t get my hands on any Kasabian tickets for tonight! Enjoy Fearne!

I still havent recovered from Liam touching my hand at Wembley!! Glad you are enjoying all the gigs, but jealous is not the word - you have the ultimate job!! I am gradually accepting the fact I cannot see Kasabian tonight they are now my number 1 (drawing with Muse) - Ill be listening live and dreaming I was there - hope you get some good pics and gossip from the boys. Give Tom a big hug from me.
