21/09/2009 @ 5:56 pmIt’s all about change at the moment. Some times all the buses come at once. This is definitely one of those times. I’m not sure what bus I’m even on at the moment!
I did my last chart show with Reggie on Sunday. As I counted down the top 40 the lower the number the more I realised how much I was going to miss it! Reg and I have had the best time doing the Radio1 chart show for 2 years and had some incredible guests and experiences along for the ride. I’ve worked with Reg pretty much non stop for the last 13 years so I’m going to miss seeing him behind that microphone every weekend! We are going to work on some future TV project ideas so we never have to be permanently parted! Reg makes me laugh more than anyone and knows exactly how to wind me up! We had a giggles fit for an awkward amount of time on sunday and that’s what I’ll miss most! That euphoric silly laughter about nothing!
A new chapter began for me today as I stepped in to my new show! First exciting point of the day was getting my own DESK!! I’ve never had a desk before and have secretly envied the other weekday DJ’s who sit at their computers covered in photos, stickers and family photos! Tomorrow I’m attacking mine! I’m bringing in mugs, photos (of me and reg ha! cute/naff), fake flowers…errr…a cuddly toy maybe? Is that taking it too far?
My first show was a buzz and whizzed past in what felt like seconds! The tiny Veronicas came in to the Live Lounge and gave a beaut performance of Muse’s Uprising. How those huge voices come out of those miniscule pop fairies is beyond me! I felt positively gigantic stood beside them! They even bought me flowers to say good luck! Sweethearts!My first Live Lounge is one I certainly wont forget! Thanks so much for all the kind tweets and texts messages! So appreciated on what felt like my first day at school!
So back tomorrow for more! ROCKKKK!

Get a stress-ball!! You may not get stressed but a desk just isn’t a desk without a stress-ball or so im told at least. Oh and one of those annoying barking back flipping toy dogs - For no reason other than you can.

Fearne you were exceptional yesterday and played all the right music and added your own edge to the show..Slight shame about Barrack and lack of tweets but it was just a little crazy!!! Congrats on acheiving your first desk tho….Is the cereal real??
