Every Monday night at 9pm Radio 1 takes you back in time to revisit the music and the people that shaped the decade, this week it was our very own Fearne Cotton talking about the year 2002.

Radio 1’s Story Of The Noughties - the 3rd of a ten part series exploring the music TV Film and pop cultural moments which define this decade.

Fearne Cotton takes a look back at 2002. She meets Ricky Gervais, the man behind one of the decades most important British comedies, The Office.  She also catches up with The Cheeky Girls and explores our fascination with music reality TV shows like X-Factor, Pop Idol and Popstars: The Rivals.

Fearne also gets behind the music landmarks that defined the year including the Electroclash movement , and mashup tracks. James King returns with his round up of 2002 in film, featuring Ali G, Bourne Identity, Spiderman and the rise of one of the UK’s hottest female exports Keira Knightley.  Plus tracks from Ms Dynamite, The Coral, The Flaming Lips, Girls Aloud and other artists who provided the soundtrack to 2002.
