Blog: Back to Work
18/01/2010 @ 12:50 pmAfter two weeks of slothing it up at home, sloping about with my blanket as a super hero cape and slippers on…it was time to LEAVE the house and get back to reality.
The first day back at Radio 1 was rather overwhelming. Humans! Noise! A schedule! Now a whole week has passed I feel back up to speed and less like the scared squnity baby mole I was monday!
Last week at Radio 1 was phenomenal. The Live Lounge has kicked back off in HUGE style. Biffy Clyro bounced into R1 HQ Friday morning ready for action. They are genuinely one of the nicest and funniest bands in rock. We had a laugh and a chin wag, learnt that Ben from the band is partial to wearing pj bottoms under his clothes and listened to their gorgeous live sound. They did ‘Many of Horror’ their new tune and Rage Against the Machine “Killin in the Name’. They plucked out a melody from the usual hardcore sound of this song and once again were crowned kings of the Live Lounge! I LOVE those boys!
Each new year words are entered in to the dictionary. Words that have become frequent in popular culture and are batted about so much you’ve forgotten where they even came from. I’m talking ‘crunk’, ‘hoodie’, ‘tri-band’ all newly added words. Well I’ve come up with one I want to be entered next year. So I’ve started test it out on Radio 1. ‘TWARTING’…yep twarting. Art on Twitter, therefore twarting. I did my first twart:

I painted a picture during my radio show and then my followers on twitter had to try and guess who it was as I tweeted my progress. It only took 15 mins (compared to my usual 8 hours on a painting) so is a bit rough but hopefully you can tell it’s Heidi Fleiss from Big Brother. If you like painting get twarting!
This week is also an exciting one. I’m presenting the Brits nominations tonight from 8pm on ITV2. I always get far too hyper and over excited finding out who is in what category and once again I’m sure they’ll be some shockers in there!
So far 2010 has been hectic yet fun. I hope yours is shaping up just how you wanted!
PS: for all you Tallulah and Keloy fans Tallulah has a new collar V.I.P baby!

Thank you for helping raise awareness to the battle of living with Eating disorders. i have struggled with it for 5 years, finally i have become PRO RECOVERY BABY!
i was pro-ana for a long time, and now I am on my way to recovery. i am linked with some amazing people and we help eachother with the daily struggles with recovery. some days i want to just give up. these ladies keep me strong, and keep me trying, and some days when they struggle, i do the same for them, and i remind them.. hey.. the roles were reversed 2 days ago, bu this too shall pass.. cos check it, im feeling good today.
people with ED’s need to know that pro-recovery sites are out there, and they make you happier than pro eating disorder sites do.
thank you
